Hiya
I'm searching for a venue in West Yorks, preferably Huddersfield/Kirklees area that allows you to hire the room for your wedding and get your own caters in? I've rung about 15 places and they all say no or want to charge extortionate prices?

I had the same problems I then hired a council owned building this seems to be the best option, you should check how much this would be
Some may let you use your own caters though were I am in Liverpool they wont! though the price per head is lower than anywhere elseLoves Vegas shopping and beauty products!0 -
Hiya - I went to a wedding at East Riddlesden Hall (Keighley) where they had external caterers in as they do not have cooking facilities on site. It was a really nice venue but I dont know how much it cost for the venue and if they had to go with approved caterers.Total for 2009: L'Oreal Lip Duo, Diary, Motability Guide
Thanks to everyone who post comps - you are all :cool2:0 -
toffee girl is right - huddersfield and dewsbury town halls are both licenced for weddings and i think tht you can use your own caterers.
Huddersfield has some really unique rooms - you can get married in the dock in the old courtroom!!
failing that you are looking at a town or villiage hall
just remembered - have you tried marsden mechanics? it was too far for us so we never called them but they didn't have anything on their website about cateringHad a thrifty wedding 17-06-10
