help with washing

I have started doing my own washing and usually put general clothes (non whites) on the 30 degree daily wash with 2 non bio tablets.

Now I have to wash tea towels, bathroom towels, white t-shirts and white bed sheets. Also bed covers (not white).

How should I go about this, what temp's should I use? What should/shouldnt go together?

Thanks in advance :D

i would think sheets would be ok with other stuff unless they have not been washed before - depends how much stuff you can get in - i usually wash towels together then whites together all at 30 and with 1 or 2 non bio tablets - if you don't have a full load put it on 1/2 load if there is such a thing on your machine - i would always put my wash on at 30 for everything and very rarely use 2 tablets even though i have a big machine - nothing is ever that dirty that it needs 2 tablets

  • i feel like the sheets, towels and tea towels probably need a 60 wash as they have been used / left for a while and i'd rather know i'm killing any dust mites/whatever can lurk in them unseen to the eye...

my duvet/pillow covers are cream mostly with some brown, havent washed them yet as not long bought them. should i keep them seperate from whites? i just dont know whether whites should be totally seperate washes??

no you should be ok but if you are going to wash them at 60 i wouldn't put whites in aswell - not the first time anyway

  • just doing white sheets/towels/ t shirts at 60 cottons wash, with quick wash selected. confuses me how theres 2 cycles which sound the same. one is synthetics 60 for heavily soiled colourfast items and also the same one under cottons. whats the difference? ones 127 mins the other about 80.
