Not usually found in the same sentence in my experience. You get what you pay for with stuff like that.If you will the end, you must will the means.0 -
avoid cheap own brand paint. I had a room painted using B&Q own brand paint ,it took 3 coats off paint to hid the original colour ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0

Nobletts in North Street (Belfast) are good, the Johnstone's contract paint is good value for the white and magnolia and is great quality. They don't do refunds, I think they exchange though, so be sure you only buy what you're going to use. They're also good for wallpaper. The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0

I agree with the above comments
Avoid cheap paint. I used B&Q own brand cheap emulsion, total rubbish0 -
Nobletts have a great selection of paint. I have used quite a lot of different kinds and I personally think Dulux is the best. I always go to Nobletts for wallpaper, don't even look elsewhere now!
Also there is MRCB paint centre on York Road just behind the old Grove Baths, they are trade but also sell to the public, they always seem busy when im passing.
Dulux trade centre facing Abbeycentre is another one and there is a Johnstones trade centre at the back of Toys R us on the Mill Rd.

Thats great. Thanks for all the recommendations. Is there a difference between trade paint and for example dulux from B and Q?0

Noblett's of North Street has really good paper selection. I read online that apparently it's one of if not the biggest in the UK.
Kearny's of Lisburn has a decent selection too, plus books (028 9266 3421)
Painters Choice at the Carryduff Centre (028 9081 3111) has by far the best selection of actual paints and they're open sundays and all. I think they've a store in Ballynahinch, I'm not sure. I shopped there on Sunday past and bought 8 big buckets of masonry paint - in comparison to the B&Q price I saved £90! And I got 5Lt of Crown colours at £16... Happy days.0 -
We've bought from Leyland Paint Shop before and it usually works out a good lot cheaper, it's good quality and they can mix any colour you want.
