Good luck with that Spud, I hope they make you a decent offer. if you don't feel that attached to it then it would be good to make some money.Mortgage OP 2026 £860/2000Mortgage balance: £31,763

Well done Spud, I remember you mentioning it a while ago.
I suppose if you get a price, then you can decide if you'd rather the odd piece if it has more sentimental than monetary value. :grouphug:
Thanks Twitty. I think I'll just take non-sentimental pieces initially, to get a feel for the place, then take the rest if they're OK

I think the money would do far more for us as a family, than a bit of sentiment

absolutely! think what you'd want your kids to do with it if it was them with your stuff...I know I'd want DS to sell it if it made his life easier.Mortgage OP 2026 £860/2000Mortgage balance: £31,763

Thanks Skinty. If it's a rubbish offer, I'll keep it and carry on looking

Well, my kids never knew my mum, so the only person who has any feelings at all for the stuff is me. I'm guessing she'd probably be annoyed we got into this mess financially, but would want us to sort it out any way we could.
It's only a couple of rings I would maybe want to keep, but they dont fit me, and I cant see us having spare money to spend on having them resized.
Nope, the money will be very useful. Maybe even get rid of a big chunk of our debt with F & Fs

I'd still hang on to the rings you "maybe" want to keep Spud, in the future you might have the money to get them resized. If you change your mind later you could sell them then.Mortgage OP 2026 £860/2000Mortgage balance: £31,763
