next nightmare!

HI all just had to share this one on the boards......

Payplan have started sending payments to creditors- my DMP started in March. Next sent me three letters all with the same date;

1- they would not accept the offer

2- they had difficulty allocating the payment and could Payplan use a specific account number ( hey why write to me and not payplan?)

and the third.(drum roll)...................

says;

please disregard all earlier correspondence on this matter- we will accept £0.01p per month and freeze all interest charges

You should have heard the girl at Next when I called them. Apart from being up her own ££rse, hey ho..

so I wrote back saying thanks- I'll actually pay more than a penny, but their offer of freezing the interest is jolly nice thanks.

In British law a contract exists by virtue of a process called "offer and acceptance" so when the dozy whatsit wrote- they have made and offer, I've written back and said thanks I accept.

voila!!

so if anyone from Next is reading this- I assume the person in question who I doubt it a computer has been duly disciplined.

Just made me smile.

    Into everyone's life a little light occasionally shines... a penny a month? That has to be a record! I should frame that letter if I were you.

    My life has been dire for the past few months but I am developing a dark sense of humour- it's kind of hilarious in a "wait till this numpty gets to work after the BH and see what his/her supervisor has to say" kind of way- of course they could have just been fired in which case the letter was their last revenge- but I have it- and they signed it-hah!!:T
