The police would investigate any offence but wouldnt go to the lengths of Dna, searches etc unless they felt the evidence was strong
I dont see my employer being in a difficult circumstance. The matter is being investigated by the police while im suspended. Why cant they wait for the police to deal with the matter?
I think your very wrong on the last part. The police take any allegation made seriously however if the police felt the evidence was strong then why wasnt I charged after the interview? Its because I didnt do it so there is no evidence. The police arrested me at the police station because there was suspicion, which was I had visted the ladies house during the time the money went missing and I visted the 2nd ladies flat when apparently a package was in the hallway containing her neighbours bra.0 -

Legally, the police only need suspicion that you've committed an offence to arrest. They don't need evidence of any kind, let alone 'strong' evidence. DNA is now automatically taken.0 -

If the police didnt think there was any evidence etc you would never have been interviewed etc in the way you have.
The police do not arrest everyone who was in the vicinity of a theft unless they think they were involved otherwise god help us tesco shoppers next time someone shoplifts.
As for the first part. your employer is a care provider who had staff members accused of stealing from multiple vulnerable service users. Of course there in a bad position0 -

If the police had any evidence I would have been charged. As others have pointed out along with my solicitor the arrest was just a procedure at the police station.
I dont disagree that the company is in a bad position, I said I dont see them in a difficult circumstance. Why call me into the office to go over what ive already gone over with them once and then again with the police.
And to clarify, its one client that had money go missing. The other accustaion is that a bra was stolen from a package in a communal hallway that belongs to a neighbour of a client.0 -
Just out of interest which union are you in ?0

As for your husband taking the time off. what exactly is the point unless its to look after dependents. He will only get in the way at the police station etc.
You'd do yourself a big favour if you stopped harassing the police officer. He may be far more difficult to deal with otherwise.
No wonder staff in the care industry abuse patients all the time and have a poor reputation with the public with people with your attitude in it. People do not have crystal balls, and if they have never been in a situation before, are not going to know anything about proceedures or definitions of 'interview under caution' etc.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

I disagree. If you are innocent, and have allegations made about you you have a lot to worry about. The police are not exactly the most trustworthy organisation. Nor are unscrupulous employers.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

If that's true, can she claim unlawful arrest and false imprisonment? If so, then surely the DNA and fingerprints were taken illegally?I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

I forgot to ask acas about this, so just giving them a quick call back now as a few members of staff are good friends of mine. Does this mean I have to ignore their calls or emails? I havent spoken to any of them about the situation and I wouldnt. They dont know im off work as we all work seperatly.
They must know something? They must have been told you are suspended, otherwise you might accompany them to a client and commit another crime!
Do you have any mutual friends you could confide in? Just tell them not to tell any colleagues. But you know how people love to gossip! Try to derail the investigation as much as possible.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
