Spec misses out the most important detail THE LENS !

IMHO ok for the kids to learn on but not as a serious camera .

Maybe ok to keep in the car incase you need to photo a crash scene etc !

  • Looks like a bit pile of smelly pants. Get yourself a proper camera:

The trick to camera buying is get a brand that ACTUALLY MAKES CAMERAS - not toys. You need a good lens, like the above post said. Go for the big brands: Cannon, Fuji, Panasonic (lenses by lecia), Olympus.

Get a price from Amazon or another UK based website, go to Jessops, ask them to price match for you. Then, get them to give you some more discounted goodies - don't buy memory cards from them as its much cheaper online. Do buy a bag from them at time of camera purchase so you get a discount.

Ignore megapixels - anymore than 4mp is useless for home users. Don't buy a cheap brand with a big zoom.

Try something like this, for a bit more money:

    Don't Tesco do a 5m for £39.99?

I am very interested in buying one ... but it won't be a £350 piece of kit!

Yes they did...it had 5MP but didn't have optical zoom, which doesn't deteriorate the picture quality unlike digital zoom

I just bought a 6mp/3*Optical Zoom Sony Cybershot from ebuyer for under £100 which seemed a good deal ? Looking forward to receiving it. Only problem is the 2Gb memory stick is about the same price as the camera !!!
