I want to book some tickets for one of the concerts at Newmarket Racecourse this summer.
On the booking page there is a box for a promotional code.
Does anyone know where I can find a code please?
Thanks in advance.

Oh well, it doesn't look like I am going to save any money on the tickets! I wonder where a discount code would come from?2019 Prize Total - £0/0 Prizes 2018 Prize Total - £100/1 Prize 2017 Prize Total - £250/2 Prizes

I'm not sure there's a code out yet. I'm in the throws of booking my tickets for the 2000 Guineas in Early May and I have trawled the 'net looking for the promo code. There doesn't seem to be one.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep in mind that if all you are going for is the band afterwards you are more than welcome to just "walk in" after the racing has finished. Once the racing is over (approx 9.00pm) all of the gates are open to let the 1000's of people out who aren't staying leave. You are therefore welcome to walk in and watch the bands for free.

So you can just walk in for free. So why are they selling tickets? I don't understand how you can just walk in, don't they have Stewards on the gates like they do for the rest of the day?0 -
The tickets are sold for the racing with the band thrown in to attract more people, Friday night's racing itself is rubbish. The race part of the evening has to be stewarded as there are different amounts of people who have paid to be in different areas of the course. Alcohol sold, people in members, non members, family areas, the general day to day hazzards of having drunken idiots around horses etc.
Once the racing finishes all the exits open up and people come and go as they please. The bars are closed. I have been going since the "nights" started from about 9 - 10years ago, and people regularly come late and sit up on devil's dyke and watch the bands from there which is the hill on the otherside of the course. Devil's Dyke isn't even part of the course! It's just an "open field" people gather on and have a bar b que or a bottle of pimms and enjoy the band. Or, as I said in my post, they come up when the last race is being run and come in when the gates open up. Non of the bars are open so there's no alcohol and the stewards are all in watching the bands anyway.
Don't question it, just enjoy something that doesn't cost anything. In this day and age quite rare!

After writing my last post I thought about what I had written and decided that it didn't make too much sense to me on the tickets / free band issue.
I e - mailed the course and this is their reply:
"Thank you for your email.
This is a complete myth, we do not allow people to just turn up to watch
the concert free of charge. I have attached our price list for your
information."
So for all who have followed this I am truely sorry for mis leading you, and more importantly I will be sure to warn those I know who go and watch the bands afterwards for free that they should have a ticket!
Apologies,

It always used to be the case that you could go in after the racing for the band, but those were the days when it was Bootleg Beatles, Bjorn Again and other tribute acts or less popular original groups.
Since they started with groups like Pet Shop Boys, Girls Aloud, Wet Wet Wet, Boyzone and P ussycat Dolls it's now ticket only even when going in after the racing.
