hi all, am in a sort of
mood, just had someone out to do a valuation for the purchasing of BI and I am a bit mixed up whether to be secretly pleased or a bit depressed!
The bad bit sort of is that he has valued it for more than currently owed on our mortgage (not counting the redemption fees)! so with the redemption fee's we would have negative equity, but without, we would have a tiny bit of positive equity (less than £500).
Top end of estimate is £109,995 and bottom end is £100,000. which is quite a big gap and I suppose gives the OR room to try negotiate.
However I know one house almost exact like ours down the road, was on for £100,000 and she ended up selling it for £95k.
Anyhow, he is going to confirm the valuation in writing, top and bottom end and then I will write to the OR and see what they say.
The only good point is that we haven't really lost any money on the property from what we paid for it, we would probably break even if we decided to sell ourselves.
so just a bit of aday! need a nice glass of red wine to settle my mind I think.

hi donna, if you type in house prices on google possibly the second down, you can get a picture of what houses have recently sold at, you can like i did print this off and give to the OR if the calculation is high.
You may only just be in negative equity now but give it 6 months and you will be positive :-) that is a nice feeling for a discharged or indeed Bankrupt person to be in!
I need a drink tonight, its only tuesday but iv had a really stressful day today :-(
Dont string me up but part of my job involves debt collection on none payment of rent.. I really hate that part of my job.0 -
Horlicks please bartender & I shall sit in a corner & read up what I`ve missed...like I do every night.
BTW - If I don`t post so much on BR board its not because I`m not reading/lurking....its just that `real life` for me is all getting `too much` at the moment & often I don`t feel I am able to offer objective/coherent replies.
I`m around though;);)
