  • Had a letter from the tax office today, apparently they didn't know who I'd been working for for the last year and thats despite me getting P45 and P something else with my employers address on! Anyway, they said I might be due a tax rebate, he went a bit quiet when he asked what my tax code was and I mentioned I'm due to move to a Nil tax code due to BR!! Do you think I won't get my tax rebate now? :rotfl:

Hiya sweetie, how goes the pregnancy? Has OH got her feet up while you 'run around' with cups of tea, glasses of juice/ squash/ water? Hope you got good results from the doc's, I might have missed your posting. I'm good thanks. Cracked myself up laughing last night - it started raining quite heavily and here I sat humming to myself "it's raining it's pouring your dirty car is calling" I almost logged on to put that on TBI but was PMSL too much. I'm slowly losing my mind, but actually enjoying it.

I'd take what ever I can get right now. Went to Trinidad once and bought a bottle of local brew - 80% proof, it was lethal I could have sealed a gaping wound with it:rotfl:.

  • :confused:Sorry to be dim......what is meant by the nil tax code when BR???

I'm still waiting for my last employer to send me my P45.....will the OR need this next week? I've got my last wage slip?

  • Basically a Nil tax code is applied in BR (for most folks I beleive) and means that you don't pay tax but then have to send the equivalent sum to the OR (or a company called Moonbeaver). The money is then used to pay towards your debts.

Unless your well paid and/or get an IPA it is rarely beneficial to your creditors:rolleyes:

Sorry, in one of those moods:o
