NM - good luck with the dental work - you're right could have been alot worse than £200!

All home now, a fantastic night away.. shattered now a day at drayton manor with the kids tired me out! MIL has had a great time though, I just wish she didnt have to pay everything though.. planning on getting her paid off by the end of this year so I will be looking for extra hours at work or a saturday Job, its possible now i know the OR wont take it.. dentist tomorrow.. yeah I know it could be worse with the bill, im just glad I have the cash sorted for it and for the camping trip next week, Life seems to be looking up for a change.
Hope everyone is well, im not on the beer tonight but the coffee goes down a treat!

Just thought I'd pop in for a quick visit to see how everyone is and I might as well stay for a quick drink while I'm here, anyone care to join me?

hi NM, hope your appointment goes well and it is not too stressful. xxx

Just saw this following advert when I was looking at some F1 video footage and I couldn't believe the stupidity of it to be honest!

Write off Bankruptcy Debt with an IVA. See if You Qualify in 1 Minute

the whole point of BR is that it your debt does get written off on the day you go BR!!! and why would you want to get an IVA after Bankruptcy?? This well known company is playing on people's ignorance of how the system works. Grrr!

I agree, wholeheartedly with what you are saying, Don. Most of us, myself included, were inundated with letters offering to 'reverse our bankruptcy' by the use of a 'Full and Final IVA'

In fairness I have to say that it is, in theory at least, possible to get a bankruptcy 'annulled' through an IVA - HOWEVER this can only be done through the Insolvency Service/OR and only if the bankrupt can convince the OR that he/she can 'raise' sufficient funding - usually the full amount claimed through bankruptcy.

Yet another example of the 'Financial Industry' trying to make a profit out of a loss.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
