:oHey all orgiannly we decided to get married abroad (Vegas) as we would save money, though it is not working out this way now!

Time is gaining on us now though we are just trying to save like crazy I am now starting to get really worried about it all as I do not want to go into debt for this!

The things I still need:

To pay for the evening do on our return, this was booked over a year ago we put down £100 depoist, so now we are awating the true price got to meet with them first though. This is in a council owned building so its about the cheapest we could get without doing the food ourselves, we didnt want to do this as the party is the day after we get back!

Mens suits just the groom really though where he is going to get it from is anyones guess, I really think he thinks this will be a high street job!

Rings we ordered yesterday wanting to pay about £350 for both it ended up at £450 for both, not paid for yet though as the woman wouldnt take the money until they come in!

Need insurance for our holiday/wedding still!

Need to pay for the rest of the chapel $400

Need to buy a bridesmaids present

Possible bestmans present (not sure if he is having one yet)
Need to book a DJ

Need to finish paying off balloons

Possibly need shoes ( may just have this as my something old as I cant find any I really like)

Need to buy a wedding cake in Vegas (ok I dont need to but it would be nice??)

I think this is it!

Oh and we still need more dollars!

I am just having a moan as all these things have got to be paid and we cant really money save on these things now we just have to get on!!

Is it just me or do you feel like your wedding is never going to get here!!!
Planning forever!

Anyway I thought it may be useful to get our lists together and check off things as we go, I know it will make me feel better!

Congratulations. Unfortunately, planning does take forever, on average it takes about 250 hours to organise a wedding, that includes finding the venue etc. (this is an industry figure that I am quoting).
  • And it feels like many more hours!!

August is plenty time for what you have left and enough time to search for a few bargains.
I'd start by booking your DJ.
Save yourself money on shoes if the ones you have are good for the wedding gifts, try out ebay.

I also think that i am going to make do with shoes as I have some brand new silver ones that i will be wearing once for a birdesmaid for my friend so this may be a good option
