Got a quote I like and want to get the deposit sent off incase they change their minds.I think its fantastic and just wondered if you agree. Its for 12 people so £330 for food,£60 for 4 canapes if I allow 4 each,£51 per waitress for 5 hours(probably 2 waitresses) and corkage.

£27.50 a head for a 3 course dinner.
!!!!-a-leekie soup:rotfl:okay then how about chicken and leek soup?
venison stuffed with haggis, roast root veg, elderberry wine jus
cranachan with shortbread

additional pre-dinner canapes at £1.25 per item(4-6 per person)
waiatressess £8.50 per hour per waitress
corkage £4.50 a bottle

I wouldn't have a clue but it sounds very reasonable to me.

    Great menu!

I dont have a clue either ...... just sounds a lot for a meal - formal or not .... how many are you catering for ?? (only being inquisitive)

  • The next cheapest quote I got was unbelievable, meals ranged from £30-£70 a head for various options of 3 course menus, the one above was a £70 option and they wanted to charge £25 an hour for the chef on top of the £70 a head for the food?Needless to say I didnt bother going any further with that company.

Thanks, the menu is OH,s choice. He is very into his food especially meats. The caterer is very flexible and let us tweek their menu so its just perfect for us,including getting a specified wine to make the sauce with for us to OH,s recipe.

Ours is £30 a head for 3 course meal but we don't have to pay extra for waiting staff. Exactly the same charge as yours for canapes.
