Good pubs just north of Oxford

I am meeting up with my Spanish Grandparents tomorrow and we are looking for a nice pub to have a meal just north of Oxford on the M40, does anyone have any suggestions to somewhere that does very good food and isnt too expensive around that area?

    How far north? There are lots of nice places around banbury - thai garden, veritas, black boy (in milton), deddington arms (deddington), masons arms (on A361 to chipping norton. It is not cheap)
