The Inspiron does fit nicely because mine's in it!

Nice padded case with compartments for files and folders too round the other side to the main laptop compartment. Well worth £25 and it still £80 in store if you go and have a look. It's the Antler New York.

Also has a shoulder strap.

Label says max 15.5inch laptop. Bag itself is about 285mm x 385mm in the laptop compartment. It takes a 15.4inch Dell Inspiron 1300 with about an inch to spare widthwise. You can select collect in store get a reservation number without paying and go and have a look if its not suitable don't buy.

Another fantastic MSE buy - bought this for my new laptop - quality is great and the laptop fits like a glove. As other posters mentioned, the checkout operator couldn't believe they were selling it so cheaply either!

Don't know if this helps, but on the PC World link posted by the originator of this thread there is a "Flight Suitable" logo ...

Thanks. I had seen that but also noted that the PCW website showed an internal width of 36cm, which is greater than the permitted 35cm external width ! Hence the question. I suppose that it is too much to hope that someone can cconfirm from practical experience that these do fit into the hand luggage guage's ??
