Some of you will remember me saying that i was being treated for cancer, well today i went in for another operation and i am now All Clear...yippee.
I can not tell you what a huge relief this is to me and my family, i have been to hell and back in the last 9 months and i can not actually believe that it is now over (except for 6 monthly check ups etc). I feel so so lucky to have responded to treatment and to be given this chance to carry on with my life.
I have not posted for a while as i was having scans and check ups etc, i did pop into boots last week to pick up the new P&P cream, and was told that i did not need it yet (only 38) so that cheered me up, still bought it though lol...
So i think tomorrow i will be going to a nice big store to treat myself, although i really do not need anything as my cupboards are full, i am sure i will find something.
Sorry for being so off topic, i am sure you will understand my happiness.

Congrats iloveboots!
And to keep it on topic, I'm off to Boots tomorrow - wanted to ask what people think is the best foundation they sell in there for very pale skin. I need some desperately but they all come out too orange on me (Collection 2000 ivory foundation I am looking at you ).The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Popped into Boots yesterday and noticed this Fish wash bag for £5 reduced from £14.67 which is a great bargain as the hair [STRIKE]gunk[/STRIKE] wax stuff is about £4 on the shelves now.
This King of Shaves washbag was also reduced from £11.** to £8.00.
I also saw the Gillette Fusion Gift Box reduced from £9.99 to £5 on the shelves too right next to more of those lovely putting sets.
So ladies and gentlemen keep your eyes open around the mens sections for deals. ETA - all SEL reductions
Could I ask how much people are paying for those Nivea Happy wotsit duo packs?0 -
Can I ask what is a putting set?
Thank youBe Lucky Everyone0 -

Thank you
It is a free gift which says it is free when you buy any 2 Gillette items only it tends to scan at 0.00 anyway.I've added some pics so you know what you're looking for.
The outside of the box and this is what is inside (both pics courtesy of ebay)
So if you feel more comfortable scanning it when purchasing Gillette products then the £5 reduced set is a good camouflage.0 -
Thanks Jellybaby Iwill look out for them.Be Lucky Everyone0

Went to get a meal deal and have got the large cadbury carmamel before (this is because the meal deal includes 'any snack' which has to be under I think £1.35 or £1.25 sorry can't remember which).
Immediately the SA picked it up and said they don't go through without her having scanned her. I asked why and was told the larger chocolate bars don't go through for the meal deal unless it's under a pound! I argued it is a snack within the price range. she was nice about it though and looked at the small print which stated something about cakes. I said that would mean all confectionary would not be included and there were no signs up to say otherwise. A supervisor came and put it all through. I presume signs will go up now.
I don't know if this is a local policy or national. Anyone else had this?
Also there was a sign that all Ribena 500ml are BOGOF.0
