It'll give the camera something to focus on...and help to see how they grow...

I have just spent some time looking at snails pictures.
I can't help it guys they are slimey and yucky and people have them on their hands!!!!!
Gags in the corner
It's only mucus - long chain proteins suspended in liquid...
If you think of how much they produce, compared to how much we produce (about a litre per day) - they should be the ones gagging in the corner..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I do not produce mucus! I er....glow or something!
I will never hold them well perhaps whilst they are small. poor little sods. I really didn't want them but here they are in a new home, with cuttlefish a rock pool (!) and new peat (which apparently you are not allowed to use but they seem ok!!)
I wish they would stay that size!!
and thank you What a wit, they do look better now.

Buffy, I always used peat with mine. I started on the stuff you buy at pet shops in a brick that then expande once put into water, but it was too expensive. I then moved onto normal garden peat, as long as it hasnt got any added fertilizers in you are fine

Thats good to know, they do make me feel less ill then the photos so that is a plus. I looked at that expanded stuff on e bay decided it was a bit weird! must get them some moss tho............
I am off to a bbq now. Must tell my friend about the snails she will think its hiliarious!

Its not wierd its fab stuff, just expensive. I had a 20l tank for my snails and that used to do it 10 times over and the room smelt much nicer when I used it. When I went to normal peat the room always smelled musty
Hvae a great bbq :j0 -
Oh snails are quite, ermmmm interesting Buffy:D
Have a lovely time at the BBQ xxBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
