Not sure if this will be helpful or not, but i was kicking around asda for inspiration and came across loads of dvd's from £4.95 upwards. The good part being that all the comedy/romance ones were no more than £6.

So mummy now has hitch (for the grand total of £5.95) Now il just add a bunch of flowers! Im sorted. lol

aldis flowers also seem to be good vfm to me!
alternaively look on ebay for a nice thomas kinkade item - non allerganic when compared to flowers and less fattening than the usual chocolate fare.
how about tickets to a show?

Ive been looking at magazine subscription, ok some can be quite expensive when compared to choccies an flowers but alot of websites i looked have knock down prices, an mums are worth it Personally my mum likes spirit and destiny magazine, only i cant find it online :mad:
