I buy organic oats (suma) from the healthfood shop. I go through loads porridge, flapjacks, crumble, biscuits I'd never thought about adding them to bread, I usually make a wholemeal loaf, could I add them to this? It would be a good way of getting extra fibre into the family.

I have had no problems with the tesco value ones, or the 2 bags for £1 stuff from farm foods. Better cheap oats than no oats at all. And I like the rougher, larger texture of the tesco value ones, perfect for my porridge with water made to a 'stand your spoon in it' consistency. YUM :)

Value oats are fab(apart from the nut warning  )I get through 2 kilos a week for porridge and flapjacks which I make for the school tuck shop.

I've made a batch of rolls with oatmeal(mornflake) in today because I was 4 oz short of flour, they worked fine -nice texture.I also like oatmeal for coating herrings in before frying.
