hi guys you can get a free network cable and light torch from the patchsee website just google patchsee and register details. cheaper than going to dixons.

Er, I think this is a freebie for specialist IT people - who need to track which network cable goes where on a complex networked system.
It isn't a working cable - it's a demo kit with a dummy cable that shows how their light tracing (a red light shown at one end shows at the other) works.
There isn't any wiring in the cable (or if there is it isn't connected to the ends), so it won't be of any practical use - it'll be useless junk to most people. The 'torch' is a device to shine the light along the cable, so not actually a useful torch.
Probably a waste of time (for MSE people and the manufacturers) to apply for - unless you work in IT and need a new system for tracing cables.
That's the situation as I understand it. This thread should probably be removed (it's in the wrong forum anyway) as there's no value in it.
