Credit Card Help Please....

Hello Everyone

I currently have 2 credit cards at the moment which are something like £50 over their limit and I have no money to pay them, as I am awaiting my ESA claim and not getting SSP anymore, we are literally living off my partner's Income Based JSA, as the job centre said that I can't claim Income Support whilst awaiting results of my claim for ESA....... Anyway I have really bad credit and have no means of getting a loan or another credit card to pay, so I rang them up and they suggested to write in to them offering a token payment and a letter explaining your situation, but I do not know what to put on the letter???

Can some help me or does anyone have a template for this???

Thanks in advance

    Hi PD

Amend and send the following letter

    Dear Sir/Madam

    Re Account No XXXX

Since making that above agreement with you, my circumstances have changed.

I cannot now afford to agreed monthly payments because ... [your paragraph added here]

I enclose a Personal Budget sheet which shows my total income from all sources, and the total outgoings of our household.

As you can see I have no money left to make offers of payment to my creditors.

In view of my circumstances, would you please accept no payment at present to be reviewed in six months. If interest or other charges are being added to the account, I would be grateful if you would freeze these so my debt does not increase.

Should my circumstances improve I will contact you again.

    Thank you for your assistance.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

    Yours faithfully
