Old Tesco Codes Thread

Although this is a repeat from the discussion Tesco forum, I hope it is still valid here:
I have always felt dubious about using codes, when the source hasn't been identified. I wouldn't want to get some one in trouble for using a code personal to themselves, or in fact not get a discount that I was expecting (if the code wasn't genuine). So could I make a plea for people to follow some simple steps when sharing them?
1. State the code (xx-rfm8)
2. State the offer (£5 off £50)
3. State expiry (31st Aug 06)
4. State source (Mother and Baby magazine, for example)
(Genuine example, by the way, as I previously posted two weeks ago - and it worked for me last week)
It would be also nice if we could some how delete old messages that are out of date, or start a new thread every 2 or 3 months, as it gets SO long, and I always feel I might be missing something, unless I read them all!!!!! Some postings might be more appropriate as private messages instead, or, of course, the trusty thanks button is worth a thousand words!!
Many thanks,

I cant get any of the XX-?SUM codes to work. Looks like they are really clamping down on the use of codes not actually sent to you. Good luck to anyone that get them to work (had over £100 in basket BTW) I'll shop at other supermarkets till it improves (quite like Aldi at the moment). Looks like clubcard deals will get me to butlins next year at this rate :rotfl:

Does xx-6sum work for anybody else??
When do these points get added if they do work?
Thanks0 -
xx-6sum worked for me, but the points haven't shown on my account yet (2 weeks later). I e-mailed Tesco last week and they said that the points would be on my account within 28 days.0
