Ive emailed them to complain to ask why they were still sending out offer emails 30 minutes after the offers were sold out and they basically said all emails were sent at the same time and refused to believe that the properties of the email i recieved was timed so late

Unfortunately, as with Martins e-mails, bulk e-mails are hard to time. I don't know when they sent the e-mail out, but maybe they sent it out early enough (as the OP got theirs before the offer) and people still get it after the offer.

Martins e-mail sometimes takes 2 days to arrive! Very difficult to time these things... although I suppose ASDA could have sent it out last week. Depends when they decided to do the offer really.

but surely on the email properties - Time sent would show what exact time it was emailed rather than some random time?

Im not sure... these things can be a bit funny. Will check Martins e-mail next time
It may take 3 hours to process the e-mail (i.e for it to leave the server) and that is the time it gives you.

it takes hours to send out thousands of emails, they just timed it badly. They should have all been sent out the day before or something!

I agree that the emails should have been sent out the day before. It was just by chance that I was sat at the screen when the email came in, otherwise I could have been out for the day and missed out. But it is like that with all limited offers, some you win and some you don't.
