I wrongly assumed that my HTB would have palladium - the same as me, but he wants yellow gold too. I have to admit I was a bit miffed at first, but there's no point in getting something he doesn't really like is there? They're the exact same rings though - just different colours (and sizes!). I'm totally fine with it now xxWomen marry men hoping they will change, men marry women hoping they won't! Inevitably they will both be disappointed.Albert Einstein:smileyhea0 -
my OH wants to have white gold the same as me but if he wanted anything else i would be fine with it, as long as he's fine with what he's wearing i'm fine too
(i hate yellow gold with a passion though) 0 -

I think oh is going for silver when we get ours - he's exactly the same as me in that he's got a skin tone that doesn't suit yellow gold at all (my engagement ring's white gold). Silver watches and stuff look yummy on his skin though so he ain't getting a choice in the matter

My h2b is having his late fathers wedding band which is an old rose(ish) coloured band, perfect fit too, so my shiny new band - when I get it, is going to be a different colour.
There isnt much point paying alot of money for something which he isnt happy with so why not have something different, there is no law to say they have to be the same/similar.
So long as you are both happy, then thats all that matters.
I do have to say though, well done for not sulking, because if i wasn't pre warned i would have sulked!
