Next sofas. Can I get them cheaper?

Sorry if I have done this wrong but I am new to posting!
I have been saving up for 3 years to redo my living room and am now ready to go!:j
I have found great bargains on everything except leather sofas! The only ones I have liked so far are from NEXT HOME and they cost more than the rest of my new room put together!
Does anyone know whether
(i) Next offer discounts on furniture throughout the year and/or
(ii) There is somewhere else I can get the same thing cheaper. I have done this for most other things including my new oak furniture on ebay (thanks to a moneysaving expert post) but can't find the same stuff anywhere else.
Can anyone help?

You may be lucky and get one in the Next outlet but very unlikely.0

Save your money. I bought a 3 seater and 2 seater and they are now just over 12 months old and the springs have gone in one of them - only myself and husband in the house. Really shoddy quality!0

I know someone who works for a company that used to make their sofas. He said the quality was very poor due to the fact that Next wanted to pay such a cheap price so the materials used weren't the best . Don't be fooled by the weight either, chipboard is very heavy;)0 -
hi, i managed to get an ex display sofa fir £220 but you cant tell when they are selling them off ,round about usual sale time i would think, but have you looked into direct from factory like sofasofa, oakridge or divani ? they are really good prices0

Hi Thalerie, have you tried Choice Discount Stores (South East)? They sell Next Directory returns mainly and often have lots of furniture and general homewear. Sometimes it isn't in the best condition, but this is generally reflected in the price. HTH. :beer:0

I used to work for Next and the home department worked slightly differently from the rest of the store. Small items went into sale at the same time as the rest, but the larger items are a bit more random.
From what I remember if the furniture line was ending then the pieces would go into sale a week or two before the main sale. Home staff are normally really nice though so they should be able to help you. Hth.0 -
Have you tried ebay? I've been looking for new sofas and there seem to be loads of leather ones that are nearly new. We have just got a fabulous bargain of three fabric ones - virtually new and should have cost £4500 in John Lewis. People seem to change their sofas when they decorate - we change ours when our backsides are hitting the floor! Thanks to this fantastic site and it's amazing people, we have paid over £63, 000 off - just over half way!!!:T THANK YOU:T0

There's also a place called You're Furnished which is in the shadow of Stansted Airport in Essex and another one in Stansted village near the auction house. They're large warehouses that sell good quality sofas, dining furniture and kitchens etc etc from some very well known quality names but at a much cheaper cost. Not been there for a long time so couldn't tell you what they've got in. Sorry
HTH.
