Very interesting topic on "You and Yours" on radio four today about stricter legislation for DCAs.

I agree very much with the part that says they prey on the vulnerable. as a single Mum years ago, I was regularly reduced to tears by these dispicable people, now I have read up on them and know they're basically idiots, they don't call as I upset them with OFT guidelines.

Mr Honeybee had a debt with Marlin who have yet to produce a cca 9 months on.......they ended up putting the phone down on me several times when I told them you'll be speaking to Mrs Honeybee today. Now I don't hear from any of them as I changed my home number, lol.

I found it rather amusing once I was in control of the situation, then doing online searches, I've found dca baiting is somewhat of a sport.

One went like this:

Dca: are you able to pay this debt in full today by credit or debit card?
Baiter: Yes, I am.
Dca: and what card will you be using to pay this off today?
Baiter: a christmas card.

lets hope something is done because i would definatly have said the case that was lost was in fact harrassment. its abismal really it appears like the judge involved does not see it as harrasment just because they wernt threatening, but they can ring whenever and its ok!!! shocking

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:thats so funny!! i have issues with two dcas at the moment who persistently ring, i now just pick up the phone and pretend im a bit deaf after me saying speak up darlin i cant hear you and quoting back what they have said wrongly they always put the phone down!!
