Lidl sausages?

Next week Lidl have sausages on offer, but before I buy them has anyone any comments about them, good or bad?
I normally only buy premium bangers, like Porkinsons or from butcher, by choice I avoid the Smartprice or Walls type as I want meat not gristle or cereal, so hence my query

I've bought these in the past and found them really very salty. Nice in small quantities but not if you're watching your health.Be the change you want to see0

They are just ok, i used them for Sausage casserole. For me they had a cheap taste though, as i would only really use butchers sausages too. HTH.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

What is the offer? We like the ones from Lidl that are usually around 99p.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

The offer is Milton Gate premium pork sausages, all types, usual price 2.19 but down to 1.49 from Monday 13th
Never knew they had 99p ones, but sounds like I would avoid those anyway [that does look condescending doesnt it? it is not meant to be]Gardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0 -
Thats fine Farway lol, I buy them out of necessity due to my budget but appreciate the premium ones are better.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

The cheaper, smoother and pinker the sausage, the more chemicals, filler, salt, minced lips, a***holes and eye lids go in.
Buy yourself some nice pork mince for half the price and make some pork burgers- takes 5 mins and is far far better than some dodgy cheap factory produced sossy of dubious distinctiongarth;)0 -
i watched a programme about what goes into sausages once a few years ago, and that's why i wouldn't now buy cheap ones. I would rather have nice luxury ones once in a blue moon , than the cheapy ones. For me 90% meat minimum!A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Just check the percentage of meat in the ingredients. Obviously, the more meat the better. ASDA SmartPrice ones contain so little meat, that they cannot legally be called a pork sausage on the pack. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

They do have quite a high percentage of meat so I tried the Milton Gate once but they were very dull. Maybe OK in a casserole but not on their ownIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0
