Home made Marizipan problem

Just made the Easter cake :beer:
First time with home-made marzipan.... its too sticky :mad:
Even with flour everywhere , can't roll the stuff out .
Its in the oven now, problem will be hidden in cake.
BUT 2/3 is left for the top. Is it too late to add more ground almonds to the mixture
or have I missed something

Not really sure how to help as I used the bought stuff
but maybe a stint in the fridge will help? When rolling use icing sugar instead of flour to stop it sticking. 0 -

No, you can add more almonds. Like thriftlady, I roll marzipan onto icing sugar, not flour, but unlike her I make my own
