The reality of it is you're going to have to write the money off. I guess you'll actually do self employment properly in the future rather than using an umbrella company. There is no reason whatsoever to use an umbrella company if you are truly self employed. Those who do use them do it more as a tax fiddle for PAYE than anything else however its something well under investigation by HMRC.0
