    There is a campsite right next door to Silverstone, at the Whittlebury Park http://www.whittlebury.com/index.php?pag=cms&id=240&p=camping.html
    I don't camp but it is a great place to park for the Grand Prix and other Silverstone events - you drive into it from Buckingham, missing the A43 altogether, then walk across a field from the car park to the entrance between Maggots (Turn 2) and Copse (turn 1). From the campsite into the circuit will take you about 7 or 8 minutes at the most. (Not cheap though - raceday parking for the Grand Prix is about £25-£30)
    You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.

    Parking is free at Silverstone for the renault event (well it was last year!)

    Got my tickets yesterday!

    I think the tickets are going out in batches. My friend used my pc and ordered tickets for herself straight after me, I think mine came 5 or so days before she got hers. They've lots to send.

    I have got mine. They come in a purple envelope that may look like junk mail. I was all ready to chuck them out!

    My OH was looking on ebay. some one sold there renualt tickets for £8 plus P+P. Some people have a cheek selling free stuff. While I bet some one else thought they got a bargain.
