Anybody know the best way of getting here? were coming from up north so it would either be car or train, id prefer car but it would take a while. Also anybody have recommendations of hotels nearby?

I would try the 2 for1 holiday inn offers link , Northampton is £30 per night per family room for the FRi/Sat but you would need a car as 18 miles away. Rugby 30 mins away £27 per night. You will need to book quickly as I see a lot of nearby hotels are sold out already for the Sat night.

The ticket covers both days - or at least they have every year we've gone!
It's a great day out, we enjoyed going to both Donnington & Silverstone and will be there again this year. Hope you have a good time and that the weather is almost as good as last year - it was scorching0 -
