Dried in stain on cream carpet - any ideas?

Dog wee'd on the landing carpet last week and OH cleaned it up, however we now have large circle stain of slightly darker than the carpet colour - is there anyway of getting rid of this without just making the stain bigger?

First blot as much up as you can with kitchen paper.
Then make up a solution of white vinegar, washing up liquid and warm water.
Gently put a little on the stain but don't over wet - then keep blotting until you can get as much up as you can then leave to dry.Itmight have to be done again but keep persevering, professional carpet cleans can be expensive.
The vinegar neutralises the urine smell and is a natural disinfectant.
Shaving foam is good for stains too
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

The stain is dried in it - it isn't wet and doesn't smell, it is basically clean however cleaning it has left a bigger stain.

De.Solv.It stain remover (in a little spray can with all the other stain removers in the laundry aisle of Tesco) is fab. It gets absolutely everything out inclusing red wine! I always keep a bottle handy in the cupboard just in case.
