Hi guys :hello:
I'm after some advice about table plans. I've spent the last hour or so googling and they are all so expensive! I would love to know how other brides to be are doing theirs and also how I would go about getting the stand etc?
Thank you!
xx

Hi,
I am making my own to tie in with my invitations which I made myself. I have just bought an A3 piece of card in dark purple and I am going to layer on some smaller pieces of card to represent the tables (not sure if I am going to write on the names or type them) The stand is being loaned to us from the caterers as theyre about £25 to buy
Have you tried Ebay? There are some people on there who will make them up for you?0 -
Hi
My brother made mine, got some card from hobbycraft, printed names off the computer and all done. He also got a butterfly hole punch from hobby craft and decorated it with butterflies as it was my theme0 -

That is a good buy! But aren't they a bit small? They're only 29cm which is a lil smaller than 12inches. Although i suppose it depends on how many people are at the wedding.0 -
I think i'm gonna use one of these:

Its a 50*70 cm size clip photo frame. - We have one kicking about the house. I am going to cover the grey backing with burgundy tissue paper and the stick the cards with names onto that. then i can clip the glass back on.
Not sure how i'm gonna display it yet back i think it will look goodHad a thrifty wedding 17-06-10

I am only having 40 at my gathering - I assume there's not much point doing a seating plan for so few people??

Yeh, we were thinking the same about the best way to do it. Luckily my HTB is pretty handy with design and computers (smarty pants) He's gonna design one, then have it made into a canvas to hang on the wall next to the tables. He thinks it'll be about £25?

We're not doing one! One of the reasons we decided on a buffet was so we avoided having a seating plan, when you have family members who don't talk - it just seemed easier to let people sit with who they want! But try some of the wedding websites as I've seen one with seating planning for free, don't remember which one though - sorry."Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0

Google free seating plan - it came back with a few & could also try (don't know if it's any good!)
