Possibly. You can get a car for about £500 so the OR might well sell it and give you £500

My OR allowed me to keep my car as my workplace is not on a direct bus route - he did ask how far work was from home (approx 10 miles) and agreed straight away to exempt it.

Cars are never easy. It depends on what mood your OR is in. Mine was worth 1.7k, I need it not only to get to work but also during work (the pool car is manual and i drive auto) Trustee decided i could only have 1k car so I had to give him 700 quid to buy his interest.
Yet I have known people with cars worth 3k be able to keep them.
nothing set in stone but worse case would be they will sell it and give u allowance to buy another

What would happen on a £1900.00 car that was half way through the finance and the finance was one of the debts ?

Taken with nothing back ? Even if there would be no chance of me finding work without it ? needed to transport tools.

If you have a car on HP then it doesn't belong to you and the OR will have no interest in it. If you just have a personal loan for the car then that is different - you need to check which you have.
