Just Got Married : Questions About Changing Partners Name With Companies

I got married to my partner of over 3 years on Saturday, had a lovely day but now we're getting down to the admin side of getting married, changing all the details held in her maiden name to her married name. I have a couple of questions surrounding these below:

Credit Reference Agencies:
Both Equifax and Experian have been written to, but am I right in thinking the actual details on credit reports will only be changed to her married name as and when our creditors start to inform them of a change of name (I assume this as they are aggregators of info and rely on the financial companies to provide them this info to build a credit profile)?

Car Insurance:
We have a single car in the household and we are both insured to drive it, but the policy has her maiden name. Is she still insured to drive the vehicle at present? I've emailed the company in question (as they deal primarily online) and await their response.

General:
Why do companies not offer a "Mr & Mrs" field in their title list? As we are equal in our responsibilities for bills, it would be nice if they could address us as "Mr & Mrs" rather than one or the other.

I may add more questions as we think of them, but up to now, I think we are on top of this.

p.s. I use "she" and "her" as an aid to protecting her identity and not to be rude as it may sound :rotfl:

Dont know about the credit ref agencies but with the insurance co. it is a pretty important one to change as they will try to use any argument they can to get out of paying out a claim and it is a contract of utmost good faith which means that you have a duty to disclose all relevant info.

having her maiden name won't matter as she can call herself anything she likes, but you must tell insurances etc of change of status,
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.
