There's quite a bit of walking at the Causeway, though for some reason I have it in my head that there's a bus service from the centre?

Be prepared though, the shop, and the cafe, are ludicrously expensive.
  • what about the Museums like:
Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, Cultra
    Ulster American Folk Park, Omagh.

Both have grounds with loads of space for Picnics
  • All the National Trust properties will have Easter events on..

All we need is a bit of the old sunshine now and we are set:D

Bus still operates at the Giant's causeway for a small fee I think, and parking charge in the car park too:o They have to pay for the new centre somehow:o
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:
  • what about Carnfunnock...just outside Larne on the coast...wheel chair friendly... carpark or should I say entrance is about £5...but this is for all day...not per person, just per car!!...bring a pic-nic as anything you buy is not cheap...well worth the trip for a dry day(here's hoping)...

Castle Archdale outside Enniskillen is a great place for a picnic with lots of things to do

As far as I know the carpark is £1/hour or there is a daily rate. It's brilliant for the kids and has a funzone with train, bouncy castle, bungee run, laser clay pigeon shooting, crazy golf and a mini boating lake. These all cost tho.

Aside from that there's trampolines, go-carts, putting which cost per person and are run by the council.

The free stuff is the park, walks, picnic and barbeque area, walled garden, nature walk, maze and loads more.

I'm working there on Tuesday so fingers crossed for a good day.

Also, the National Trust are hosting Cadbury's Easter Egg Trails and I'm working on Sunday and Monday at Castleward (free facepainting). Check out the Cadbury's easter trails websit for more information.

Causeway is a hike down but there is a bus if you need it

Car parking is a fiver:eek: We park below the hotel and walk.

TBH is the weather isnt the best it can be a miserable day out Its been very cold up here the past couple of days and the wind would cut you

However saying that, theres also the steam train running that weekend and of course Barrys opens at Portrush and the whole coast is just stunningly beautiful with lots of bays and harbours to stop off along the way
