Yamada DVR8000 DVD Recorder - 1 day only: £99.95

This offer is only valid in-store on Tue 14th Dec 2004 in Richer Sounds stores.

Visit http://ws4.richersounds.com/productlist.php?cda=productlist&sort=price&search=dvr8000 for details.

As for the DVD recorder itself,  I don't know the actual quality of it so it maybe worth going online to read reviews or gauge the opinions of other MSEs here before rushing out. However, does seem like a good deal

Good luck! :)

    Useless, June 25, 2004
    Reviewer: jlwilliams16 from UK
Poor instructions, very noisey unit, terrible remote design (I mean so bad that trying to find Play was an ordeal), unit very slow (to the point where I thought it had crashed), crashed a lot (both units), had two units neither of which recorded sound, found out there needed to be a firmware update, company didn't answer phone, didn't answer emails, wasted a month on trying to sort it out, got rid of it.

    Good Points:
Lots of inputs, great quality, good price.

    Bad Points:
Fan is a bit loud but just as loud as a sky plus box.

    General Comments:
The Yamada DVR8000 is a great unit for price (I paid £105). The fan is a bit loud but can't hear it when sound system is on.
I'm a great believer that you get what you pay for but this unit contradicts this.

I saw the Mico recordable DVD player in Sainsburys reduced from £149.99 to £99.99, but I am unsure of the specs
  • ideal world have been selling this with free cds for the same price
Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS
  • I also saw the mico in sainsburys at 99.99 this weekend.

It makes me wonder that if they are now so cheap in the 2 weeks before Christmas, what are they going to cost in the sales, or next year?

    Think I shall wait.

Also loads of 'techies' online to help out...

I have found it very useful... Also in the market
    Cheers
