Fingerless Gloves.

Does anybody know where I could buy fingerless gloves please? I had a pair as a teenager in the mid eighties when they were a fashion thing, but now I'm struggling to pay the gas bill as an adult, they sound like a good idea.

Perhaps fleece ones could work well. Has anyone bought any fingerless gloves in recent years?

Well, you could easily cut the fingers off a cheap pair of fleece gloves.

The thing is, you'd then have to think hard about what you could use the discarded 'fingers' for!

I suggest home- made finger puppets!
  • I've had pairs of fingerless gloves from the pound shop, might be worth a look there?
  • Poundland and 99p stores do them and I have bought some from the local market as well
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Best bet is to try the chairty shops. I suspect, at this time of the year, they will have winter clothing out the back somewhere so best to ask the staff.

Try a few different charity shops and you should get a pair. I saw a lady with a pair on the other day but on the back of the hand there was a velcro patch and the fingers were actually stuck to them. Not sure how long you would go without losing them though.

    Best of luck.

Can you knit? They are really easy - especially if you don't even bother with the bases of the fingers IFYKWIM. You can knit them flat or in the round. Some are as simple as a tube with a slit for your thumb. Loads of free patterns on internet. Brilliant for using up ends of wool.

    Just an example:

ps. be warned. can be addictive. esp. once you start knitting them as presents.
