drying Onions

Can you make dried onions at home without a dehydrator ?

    thats lovely thanks :) I don't know that I can provide airtight jars though, I thought you could maybe just dry them and then crumble them and use as seasoning. I wonder if freezing would do it ?

    From time to time I buy dried onions.
    With harvest time here I thought surely drying onions for storing in jars can't be that difficult so wonder if any kind soul does this and if so what is the best method please?

    Dehydration is what i use to dry vegetables and fruit. Dehydrators can vary in price form just below £30 to over £200. Having said that, on sunny days you can use the solar dehydrator in the sky for free!
