First dress shopping day tomorrow!!

Ok, so tomorrow i have an appointment at my local bridal shop to have a 'play' with the different dresses. I have no idea what style of dress will suit me as i am also large on top ( 36G) so dont want to give the vicar an eyeful either!! I am a size 18/20 so will be a large bride, and i am worried about what underwear to wear!!
i will more than likely be wearing some form of control underwear on the big day, so is it ok to wear my big '' hold you in'' knickers to the dress shop? Im talking the big spanx that go up to the bust and halfway down your thigh??? will they think im weird... or is this generally what you do??

course you can wear that underwear,also take a camera with you so that you can take pics of yourself in all the different styles, you will probably try so many on you will forget what the first one looked like.

I'm going to semi-do my hair as well (i'm wearing similar underwear and shoes) it will give a much better idea of what it will finally look like. I hate going clothes shopping and having to change in and out of jeans, looking at yourself in the mirror after a running around a shopping center. My approach will be calm and try to make myself look as much like i will on the big day as possible!

Yes you should defo wear that underwear as it will give you more of an idea of the overall look, especially if you are planning on wearing it on the day. When I went I wore a strapless bra and some spanx and the wedding assistant actually commented that at least I had come prepared!!!

Have a wonderful time and try on lots of styles - even ones you wouldn't think you'll go for! You will be surprised!

Im glad i wont be laughed out of the shop though when i come dressed head to toe in tight lycra!!

Get yer spanx on and don't worry about it!!

You want the body shape you will have on the day to be able to see what the dresses look like on

If they have any professionalism about them, you won't at all. I would be extrememly upset if a shop assistant so much as tweaked a lip when I was about to bare all! It's not professional.
