Gorgeous trousers - but itch my skin

I changed the name of the thread in case people thought I was asking a question of a very different nature.

I got a fabulous suit from ebay. Fits me perfectly, really flattering. It's wool and the trousers are really itchy. (I have quite sensitive skin). Any ideas on what to do? They are dry clean only, although not sure if gallons of fabric softener would make a difference.

They are so gorgeous I was tempted to try wearing pyjama trousers under them! I really can't bear having them next to my skin..

Any ideas old style experts?

Are the trousers unlined? It might be worth having a go at lining them, or even half-lining them, if you are any good with a sewing machine.

Or maybe pick up a pair of cheapie skintight leggings for wearing underneath if you're sure they won't show or make marks.

    Personal pronouns are they/them/their, please.

I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.

The very thought makes me sweat! I struggle with tights and skirts!

Magpye - I can hardly sew on a button or do a hem. Although that is a fab idea... Would one of these alteration places do that? (I got the suit for £12, but guess it cost about £300 new)

I had a quick look on google and you can buy trouser slips - a rather rare beast, but they do exisit!

    For example: http://www.dixiesdirect.co.uk/store/category/ct1d/Trouser_Slip.html

    or

    http://www.trouserslips.com/index.html

I would have thought a larger M&S would do something suitable - unfortunately they don't have them on their website.

Or there's always ebay! Someone in China would probably run one up for you for next to nothing.
