believe me i know what ur going through, thats what i'm worried about when it comes to buying a flat me and my boyfriend, Why dont you try going to citizens advice and asking them? they are normally very good with any queries to do with financial difficulty?
and for those that are being judgemental of u, ignore them! they obviously picture perfect lifes... lol i think not.
Good on you, for asking for advice and i hope i helped a little :) let me know how u got on.

LOL what are you on? Am I missing the point entirely here? The OP is making it out that we are to blame that they cannot get a mortgage - sorry but it is not a right it is a bloomin privilige to those who deserve it.

I never got a helping hand, I worked my ars off and had no life for over 2yrs til I saved anough cash, then you know what I done? GOT ON THE HOUSING MARKET!

Sorry, free state maybe, mugs state - never!

Like me moaning that I have to rent my ferrari but my neighbour doesn't - I can't get the finance - BOO HOO (crying to the forum for help)... LOL, get real - both of you!

I think the OP is trolling.

OP bad credit history, partner awful credit history but wants...

a £10K loan for surgery overseas AND another loan for a house deposit.

excuse me, i was only simply pointing out that she done a brave thing in the first place for asking for help, as real life debt is a problem and people just ignore it until its too late. Good for you for "working ur !!!! off" to get where you are. I'm sure everyone else in this forum has worked for what they have as well. Your not alone there. I think you should lay off her a bit. You never know when you might need advice.

i have fairly bad credit, but net too bad. my hubbys credit is really bad, but that is due to an ex who left him in mountains of debt. we want to buy our flat but cant save the money for the deposit,
Can I ask - why can you not save the money for the deposit? Ultimately without savings you will find it very hard to buy a house, and if you struggle to put money aside now, you may struggle in future to pay the mortgage - especially if and when interest rates go back up.
so if u cant use a loan as a deposit, how in the hell do normal people that dont have millions of savings get a mortgage??? why is everything so damn hard????
'Normal' people save up until they have enough money to put down a deposit. Savings don't just manifest out of no where - you have to be disciplined enough to put money aside each month.
