  • Anyone from Harrogate? I driving up from Leicester. What is postcode of the location for my satnav?
  • Has anyone been before?

Do you reckon it is worth a visit?
  • Hi Saltire,

I went to the show last year and going again this year... lots to take in and plenty of experts to speak to. Hopefully going to be making the big move later this year.
  • Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply. I have looked at the website and I am going to go to the event and hear the seminar about how to buy in France. See you there!
  • Hi Saltire,

I love France and I watch all those moving abroad programmes so this sounds tempting. Do you have to pay for the seminars or is that included?

    Thanks, JJ
  • Isn't France the place that is really dodgy to buy property, didn't I read about houses being bulldozed down or something?
  • Hi,

Janet_J - Entry is Free and the seminars are free.

    Saab_Boy - Postcode is: HG2 8QZ for your satnav.

Addie 50 - Not France! Spain maybe - and not very often!
  • Hi everyone

I've been looking for a property in France for the last six months or so and have been using various websites to look, but haven't attended any shows yet.

I've taken a look at the website for this show and I'm thinking of travelling up but just wondered if anyone who'd been previously could recommend which day would be best?
I was thinking of Saturday as I work Fridays but would it be better to come on Sunday instead? I always think that people tend to go to weekend events on the Saturday and I'd prefer to come up Sunday if it means that I'd get more time to chat with some of the agents.

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks

No, that has happened in Spain, something to do with planning permission (or lack of it, perhaps?). I've never heard of it happening in France. It highlights the importance of getting the right advice up front tho!

From my experience Saturday afternoons will probably be the busiest, it is at most event, so best to get there first thing maybe ?
