Not sure if I'm posting in the right place but here goes. Please feel free to move if I'm in the wrong forum!!!

I've just opened a mailshot from AXA PPP Healthcare telling me that they will give me a 50 M&S voucher after I have paid my first months premium of 17.92. Can't see anything on the letter to say I'm tied in to AXA after the first month either so it looks like theres nothing to stop people from paying the first months premium, getting the M&S vouchers and then cancelling. There looks like there is an offer code of 8149 and their number is 0800 032 1955

Hope this helps someone!!!

AXA normally ties people into a 12 month contract, but their is a cancellation period (but I don't think it's as long as a month).

Your premium is really low - if you don't mind me asking - what type of cover did you get?

The letter says its Assure 6 choice whatever that might be. Theres nothing on this letter about being tied into them though!!! I thought it seemed like quite a good deal though or at least it would be if you can cancel it after they've taken the 1st payment and sent the vouchers!!!

Thanks so much for this, I have been looking at getting health insurance anyway so this is great, got first month free and then £13.18 from then, said I would get vouchers 28 days after first payment, so June.
    Thanks again

Assure 6 means that if you cant get a appointment on the NHS within 6 weeks you can then use your insurance and get seen right away. HTH

I used to work for AXA and I am pretty sure that if you cancel you are liable to pay the remaining months to get you out of contract. Be very careful, make sure really read the small print as the plans I used to sell used to have various clauses that would mean you didnt quite get what you pay for. For example, if you took out a AXA sunlife assurance plan over 10 or 15 years say, if you dont claim in that time, when you get to the end of the plan you dont get anything back at all, after paying monthly instalments of say £10 for said policy life.

Maybe a good bargain but be very careful.
