This is a US company set up by two mums, which has now spread to the UK. They sell lovely, educational children's books which are made from eco friendly sourced materials.
You can sell them by party plan, to friends and family, in schools or nurseries, at fairs, online, or anywhere you wish.
I have recently joined up, and will be starting to sell to friends and family.

I have put my details in the referral thread if any one is interested in joining.

I found it difficult to get off the ground with this, especially as many parents in my area are on low incomes and found the prices too high. Great products though. I had to give it up eventually as I found it wasn't financially viable.Make £2012 in 2012 Member 2290

Thanks for that upsykimsy. I guessed that this would be the case so after family and friends I am going to target local nurseries, playgroups, etc.

You really need to look at the economic situation in your area. If the majority of families are on well paid jobs, I'd say go for it. Print off a few flyers (rather than ordering them) Don't order the handbook, download it instead, circulate catalogues if possible, as the costs soon add up. Try and get one big order in together rather than staggered ordering.Make £2012 in 2012 Member 2290

If ordering direct from the website, there is normally a 25% discount for schools. You need to open an account online to do this. If you are thinking about ordering online, let me know how. There may be an increased discount, linked to the amount you are going to spend.
If you wanted to have a book fair or storytelling event in school, again the discount would depend on the amounts spent. If you are interested in this, again let me know.

I have only just started selling Barefoot Books but have to say I have found the prices really reasonable.
I like the fact that unlike a lot of these sort of companies there really are no targets so you can pick it up or drop it as and when you want, I plan to do a lot in the run up to Christmas and then maybe have a break for a while, but you join up for free and get your own website so it's kind of a case of nothing to lose
Not sure if I am allowed to put a link to my website as an example but feel free to pm if you want a link.June Wins - Antandec travel mug0
