What's the deal?

Discount shop 99p Stores is selling a string two-piece bikini for, you guessed it, just 99p.

It's 100% polyester, machine-washable and available in four sizes; small, medium, large and extra large. There are 10 different colours/prints to chose from including black, red, white, floral, polka dots and leopard(!).

Sure, many may be apprehensive about how much material you'd be getting for under a quid. But for older teenagers, travellers and those planning a truly budget summer holiday, these little numbers may well be just up your street.

Cheap and cheerful

Fits and styles of swimwear suit and flatter each body shape differently, so admittedly this bikini won't be perfect for everyone. But if you're just after a bit of material to cover your modesty, or if you're a beach babe that can't be seen in the same bikini more than once (would true MoneySavers do this?) it's worth checking these out.

As a price comparison, the cheapest bikinis in Primark are between £6 and £7, according to its press office.

What does it look like?

Here's the bikini in black, though you'll have to pay extra for the hat and glasses!

How to get it

The bikinis are available nationwide in all 75 of 99p Stores' branches, though sadly there aren't any in Scotland or Northern Ireland. As there's been wide press coverage of the promotion, you should probably head in-store sooner rather than later if you want one. Use its branch locator to find your nearest 99p Store.

What do you think?

If you've popped into a branch and had a look, what do you think? Please report your opinion below. How do you rate it compared to alternative cheap ones at Primark or other discount stores?

Plus if you've spotted a cheaper deal elsewhere, please let fellow MoneySavers know.
