Weirdest thing is that it's a debit card I hardly ever use, so how the poop would it have been cloned?

Gemmz, that is pants about your card. Presumably they didn't actually manage to get away with it?
I-A, as someone who has juggled full time work, childcare, and severe lack of funds for 15 years, in order to be in the career I love, I will say that if you want something THAT badly, you will find away of getting it. When I went back to work, there was NO help with childcare at all, so we were always out of pocket - tax credits certainly didn't exist, neither did nursery places for 3 and 4 year olds, or nursery voucher schemes etc.
Sometimes it seemed an almost impossible task, logistically it was a nightmare, financially an even bigger nightmare, but it was something that I had to do, for all sorts of reasons - it became an investment in my future and that of my children.
If you want it, you will do it. If you don't want it that badly, you won't find the solution.......

Funnily enough was going to raise that very point.
Im sure the overseas call centres raise security issues.
I try hard not to have accounts with financial institutions who use overseas call centres.
Apart from anything I really object to jobs going away from the UK.
Is there a list of who uses overseas call centres??I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
