that happened to me last year with Norwich Union. I was still able to take out the policy for a new customer. When I phoned up to cancel my renewal, the girl asked why i was leaving. I said " well technically I am not, I was quoted £X amount on the internet for yourself so i am taking that policy"
She said "I dont blame you" and put it all through for me. :T
