I have got a scooby-doo cake-topper off e-bay for my son's birthday.
It is made from rice paper, but I have no idea how to stick it to the cake. I have had a quick look on the internet, but it says I should use a clear gel
Can somebody please confirm what that means or give me a more sensible solution?
Many thanks.

Check out some of the other adds for them on Ebay they might give an indication of how to stick them on. I thought maybe you had to wet the icing on top of the cake slightly then put on quickly. No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

Yes I would just wet the icing, or you could use a pale jam, say apricot or golden syrup painted on the icing first.

I've had rice paper toppers before and I always just use thick glace icing, spread thinly on the back of them.
As long as the icing is'nt too wet the rice paper will be fine and the colours won't run.0 -
i have always just used a dab of glace icingAugust grocery challenge: £50
