What is it with Australia?

Is Australia the only country without a recession or something
All I seem to be doing at the moment is packing ebay items to go to Australia, I'm almost selling more to them than my UK and European sales all put together.
It is weird when you get an anomoly like this, I'm just pleased that my stuff appears to get there in record time, I think I managed one item in 4 days. They also seem to be paying top whack for it despite hight postage costs for some items.
Anyone else noticed an upturn in Australian buyers or has there been changes on the way ebay uk features on the Australian site or something.

USA streets ahead sales wise, then France, Canada, and Australia for us.
Haven't noticed any positive trends with Australia. I think their currency has devalued significantly.
How much would you say you spend on international postage a year, roughly?
Edit: One thing I have noticed is that more Australian buyers purchase off our .com listings, opposed to .com.au....0 -
In the last lot of items I sold an Australian bought 3 items, paid pretty high prices for them and with nearly £20 postage. I think in my case though she might have been an ex-pat having h&m withdrawal symptoms.

I'm selling lots to Italy, Sweden and Germany at the moment0

Yes, several Aussie enquiries this week.

I've also noticed a rise in sales to the colonies but they are still dwarfed by my overseas sales to Europe, with the annual spike in sales to Spain just starting and a good increase in sales to France and Italy.
I've just had my 1st sale to Chile!!Terms & Conditions Apply0 -
930 overseas sales since September, with an increase each month. The exchange rate is doing me big favours, and I'm getting more registered businesses buying from me too.
Most of my European sales are going to Scandanavia. I'm selling less to Oz than I did last year - not sure why as I'd expect the opposite.
Still, as long as the sales are increasing I'm not going to complain wherever they go.Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.0 -

All my Australian sales have been from ebay.uk but I have cut back on the .com listings mainly because I was struggling with Auctiva. As for my overseas postage, I haven't got a clue, my records are quite rough and ready and my books don't differentiate between UK and non UK postage. I would think though that for the past couple of months at least half has been overseas, possibly more. I'm not a big player though, I'm only talking three figures a month total, not four figures.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ebay are pretty much killing off the Australian community boards as I understand it... so maybe they've all stopped chatting and started buying
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I've stopped international sales due to excessive postal losses, and the item value does not warrant signed for or tracked delivery.
Selling less, but making more profit. Sounds good to me.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
